Infineon Technologies AG has been awarded the "Bosch Global Supplier Award 2025" in the category "Materials and Components", recognizing the company's outstanding achievements in innovation and product development in the areas of microcontrollers and power technologies. The distinction was presented by Bosch, a global leader in technology and services, as part of its biennial recognition of exceptional suppliers worldwide.
The long-standing collaboration between Infineon and Bosch spans multiple generations of microcontroller (MCU) platforms, with both companies working closely on the development of advanced MCUs that enable the next generation of E/E architectures-the foundation for the software-defined vehicle. Infineon's extensive automotive portfolio, among the broadest in the industry, covers control and connectivity, analog, sensors, and power solutions. Combined with deep system-level expertise and application know-how, these capabilities position Infineon among the few global suppliers able to provide comprehensive support to customers at scale.
Bosch also commended Infineon for its strategic investments in manufacturing technologies and production capacity, which underpin future innovation and sustainable growth for its customers. The company's strong commitment to highly efficient 300-millimeter silicon wafer manufacturing and next-generation wide-bandgap materials, including gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC), reinforces its leadership in semiconductor technology. In line with this strategy, Infineon is set to inaugurate its new 300-millimeter Smart Power Fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2026, further expanding its production capabilities in Europe.
Every two years, Bosch honors the most outstanding contributors within its global supplier network through the Bosch Global Supplier Awards. In 2025, from a pool of approximately 35,000 suppliers, Bosch recognized 49 companies from 14 countries for their excellence in quality, cost-efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. The 2025 edition marks the 19th time the Bosch Group has celebrated supplier excellence, under the theme "Challenge accepted: resilient partnerships, sustainable future", highlighting collaboration and resilience under demanding global conditions.
